Financial Issues: Let us be clear from the onset. Read this to avoid frustration and to keep things simple.
1. If you are involved in a health care plan (HMO), make sure that we are authorized to provide treatment for you. Do you have a Co-payment? Please pay that amount at the time of your office visit.
2. If you have Medicare, we accept assignment. Medicare pays 80% of the amount they approve. We write off what they do not approve. You are responsible for the 20% Co-Insurance. We must bill you for this amount. Federal law states that we cannot write off the 20%. If you have secondary insurance, they may pick up the 20%. If you have not met your deductible, please pay that amount in advance.
3. If you have private Insurance, we will file your insurance paperwork for you. After six weeks, if we have not received payment, we expect full payment from you. We contract with you to provide services, not with your insurance company. You, as the patient are responsible for your bill. If you have not met your deductible, please pay that amount in advance.
4. Cosmetic surgery fees are paid at least one week prior to surgery. We take checks, cashier's checks, money orders, cash and all major credit and debit cards. We also accept the 6 month no interest Care Credit plan. If you have any questions about financial matters, please discuss them with our staff.
